Welcome to Slick’s Tech Bytes, a website where I’ll ramble via typing about technology! Specifically, I’ll be trying to explain and answer tech-related stuff in a way that an idiot like me could understand.
I’ve always been a bit of a tech nerd. I regularly help people I know with computer issues, recommendations, and questions. As a result, I’ve gotten pretty decent at providing high level explanations. While there are still many things I have to learn about technology, this website will provide a way for me to slap my knowledge in one specific place for me to go back to as I need, and share said knowledge into the noodles of others.
But who are you, exactly?
Nice to meet ya, I’m Austin! I go by SlickAustin online, so I’m sure you can find me hidden throughout the net if you look hard enough. I’m an average guy in his early 20s who fell in love with technology thanks to video games. I always ended up tinkering with whatever tech or electronics I could get my hands on, for better or worse.
As I learned more and more about computers, I always enjoyed helping others with theirs. While I don’t have any professional IT experience, I’ve been called the ‘MacGyver IT Guy’ due to my sometimes unorthodox ways of fixing computers.
To end off this first post, I hope that anyone who runs across this lil blog gains something from it, whether it’s getting the tech support you need or even a simple chuckle. Take care of yourselves out there, and thanks for giving me the privilege of your time.
